William thomson
Founder & DirectorWilliam Thomson is the Founder of Makers Built, with over 13 years of hands-on experience in high-end residential construction across Sydney. Beginning his career as a carpenter and progressing through foreman and site management roles, Will brings deep, end-to-end building knowledge to every project.
Over the course of his career, Will has delivered and overseen residential builds and renovations with a combined construction value exceeding $10 million, including complex knock-down rebuilds, major structural renovations, and architecturally detailed homes.
His experience spans across excavation and groundworks, structural steel, framing, fit-outs, and final delivery through to completion and defect liability stages. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and calm, solutions-focused leadership, Will works closely with clients, consultants, and trades to ensure clarity, safety, and precision at every stage of the build.
His strong understanding of building codes, compliance, and site coordination allows him to proactively manage risk, reduce rework, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship.
His hobbies are surfing & jiu-jitsu.
INDIGO WILLIAMS
Project CoordinatorIndigo is a Construction Project Management graduate from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) with over five years of experience in landscape and residential construction. Having worked across a range of trade disciplines and site environments, he brings a practical understanding of how projects are planned, coordinated and delivered on the ground.
His experience spans landscape construction, residential building works and high-end custom projects, where he has developed a strong appreciation for quality workmanship, attention to detail and effective communication between clients, consultants and trades. Combining hands-on site experience with formal project management training, Indigo understands both the practical and administrative aspects of delivering successful construction projects.
Passionate about the built environment, Indigo enjoys seeing projects progress from concept through to completion and takes pride in contributing to outcomes that are both functional and well executed.
Outside of work, he enjoys surfing, exploring the outdoors and spending time in nature.

CMO Gabriela Scharf is the Chief Marketing Officer at Makers Built, bringing a background in communications, brand strategy, community building, and business growth. With experience across global organisations, purpose-driven initiatives, and growing businesses, Gabriela is passionate about building brands that people genuinely connect with and trust.
At Makers Built, Gabriela leads the company’s brand, digital presence, and marketing strategy, overseeing everything from brand development and website experience to content, communications, and company culture. She plays a key role in shaping the vision behind Makers Built, helping position the business as part of a new generation of construction companies that value innovation, transparency, and people-first leadership.
