William Thomson is the Founder of Makers Built, with over 13 years of hands-on experience in high-end residential construction across Sydney. Beginning his career as a carpenter and progressing through foreman and site management roles, Will brings deep, end-to-end building knowledge to every project.

Over the course of his career, Will has delivered and overseen residential builds and renovations with a combined construction value exceeding $10 million, including complex knock-down rebuilds, major structural renovations, and architecturally detailed homes. His experience spans across excavation and groundworks, structural steel, framing, fit-outs, and final delivery through to completion and defect liability stages.

Known for his meticulous attention to detail and calm, solutions-focused leadership, Will works closely with clients, consultants, and trades to ensure clarity, safety, and precision at every stage of the build. His strong understanding of building codes, compliance, and site coordination allows him to proactively manage risk, reduce rework, and uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship.
